Chester Young – Pyro

77/100

• Original structure
• Groovy vibe
• Ethnic flavour

When you think about EDM with eastern music vibes, you instantly associate it with bouncy big room and Arabic trap. That’s normal, mostly because lots of producers have used and abused this formula in these kinds of productions, thus rendering them generic and boring.
Chester Young’s “Pyro” is our today’s choice, and he managed to demonstrate to us that it’s still possible to make a different and cool track while following the Arabic scheme.

Here we have an interesting approach to a bass house drop with some groovy vibes. A frenetic bassline, together with some bouncy leads, makes this part really enjoyable while having an original signature sound. The trap variation at the middle drop transition is also fresh and cool, really appreciated!

Finally, we can enjoy a complete Arabic trap part at the second break, creating a crazy structure that works pretty well in my opinion. If you like ethnic eastern stuff, then I can actually ensure you that this tune will blow your mind!

It starts with a short break just after the intro, and after that, it continues hyping us with an interesting build up. Here we can appreciate the overall mood of the track, based on a reggae vocal (uncredited, but probably from Mr. Shammi) and ethnic instruments and melodies. Anyway, we can also hear some house synths, preparing us for the amazing drop.

In conclusion, this delivery by Chester Young is a sparkling concentrate of energetic vibes, unpredictable and intriguing. Suggested!
