EDM Reviewer came to be in 2016 as a personal diary.

I, the founder, was once looking for an open platform to post my thoughts about the music I love, that being EDM. So, after setting up a simple Facebook page we started to write (although in a slightly embarrassing English), and decided to assign a rating system ranging from 1 to 100 to all the records being featured. Over time more people joined the team, bringing in their diverse views and skills, reassured by the complete freedom of writing whatever they wanted to express. Different formats were born, such as the Weekly Recaps or the “What If” series.

But what marks us different from the other blogs out there?

To begin with, we believe in utmost transparency and being brutally honest. We don’t foster profitable relationships with HR agencies, labels, or any personality. If we don’t prefer a song or an artist, we say it. Of course, we like to talk about what our current listening patterns, but being a varied team means distinctive interests. Being independent gave us the chance to write what we want, and that brings us so much pleasure! Additionally, we aren’t a revenue-driven business. From the beginning, I dejected the idea of other notable blogs always featuring the same important names, only promoting upcoming talents if availed of their paid services.

EDM Reviewer whole-heartedly relies on a no payola or recommendation policy since day one. We don’t provide reviews for a cost, nor run ads or campaigns for our website or media. It was purely born as a place to share our thoughts with the community, freely. And of course, you will be first to hear uprising talents whose names you may have never heard of beforehand, solely to highlight their genuinely impressive ideas and experiments.

These former years have transformed us a lot, and most of us are dedicated to other priorities in life as well. Yet, we sincerely hope to always sit down and write down a good old honest review. It’s a magnificent feeling…and you are cordially invited to contribute to this journey!
