Karasso & Lans Palm – Hypnotized

December 1, 20211 min read

• Nostalgic and creative
• Darker first impression
• Future Rave drop with Big Room undertone

The relatively less-known Revealed sub-label BODY WRMR has reappeared again. After a brief look through, I found out that Jeffrey Sutorius is the brains behind the operations (the logo reminded me slightly of the Dash Berlin). In fact, “Hypnotized” is an unexpected knock on the door for Revealed, to let Big Room inside their roster after departing from it.

Having all the ingredients for a nostalgic sounding instrumental, “Hypnotized” is meant to satisfy the Big Room fans, who have been loyally admiring the style since its inception, but are looking forward to innovative changes. It begins with the vocal being melancholic and setting its emotional theme to that 2014-ish era, as the build-up resorts to a textbook pattern all too predictable. Even then, this will please the older fan base who are welcoming to the genre’s comeback.

Then comes the drop, out of the blue. Both artists decided for a more modernist sound and set themselves for a Future Rave take, not entirely deviating from that old-school stamp. Following second half brings about the vocal with a BIG anthemic melody and build-up. Certainly a win-win for the admirers, as Karasso and Lans Palm authenticate their passion for crafting a massively entertaining number, cut well for the festival circuits!
