Vanished x Vyel – Someone

March 31, 20202 min read

• Surrounding, warm atmosphere
• “Volt & State” oldschool Progressive vibes
• Charming vocal by Vyel

If you know me a bit, you should remember that I previously released a track with Vyel on Revealed Recordings. After quite some time, I’m now (impartially) reviewing a track of him, which feels a bit weird but amazing at the same time. It’s awesome to see all those people who worked with me progressing (and making progressive) in this crazy industry; day by day they keep overwhelming me with their endless talent. This time Vyel joined forces with the Chinese newcomer Vanished to deliver a high-quality progressive house tune that will not leave anyone half-hearted!

“Someone” is a really atmospheric track, you can notice that since the very first bars. This song welcomes you into it with Vyel’s charming vocal heavily reverberated, accompanied by a piano and multiple airy sounds, following the typical progressive instrumentation. The break gives me a really ethereal feeling that I really appreciated, it feels like floating in a cloud when listening to it!

I must admit that my favourite style of progressive house is the one that was made five or six years ago. I still love this genre, but nowadays songs are more standard and emotionless, and emotions should be the base of every single progressive track. Luckily, Vanished managed to rescue that old formula and crafted a beautiful drop that, featuring a crunchy airy lead and some powerful rolling basses, reminded me a lot of Volt & State.

It feels great when you discover new artists, especially during this hard period when we have all the time in the world to listen to music again and again, so I’m really happy to find out Vanished, I’ll definitely keep an eye on him! I would also suggest following Vyel, because I can ensure you that he has some quality tracks that will be released very soon!
