• Bouncy, more aggressive than expected drop
• Particularly well managed vocal loop
• Happy vibes, very appreciated
I’ve already reviewed a couple of future bass tracks of Ez Quew, and his future house twist has been a hell of a surprise! The Swedish producer has teamed up for the second time with Marc Brothers, a Dutch upstart, and their release is finally out on Spinnin’ Talent Pool.
In my opinion that label is criminally underrated, because sometimes you can discover talents who are rarely “promoted” to the main label. Nonetheless, we are looking for fresh ideas here, so, minor labels are always the best solutions.
The duo crafted a super happy atmosphere! It’s the detail that stuck in my mind: how delighted the mood is, it made me smile! The work on the vocal, saving it from becoming too repetitive, is absolutely hooking! That loop works again and again, escalating into a powerful drop.
“No More Tears” gave me some Mike Williams vibes (and he’s one of my favorites in the genre), bouncy but with a sweet vibe. The pair added a rather aggressive bassline, a choice that I definitively approved. Future Bounce needs that additional energy, I’ve heard many weak drops lately! Some segments of the lead were almost “Big Room-ish“. That’s a hybrid take that can have a lot of potential, in my opinion.
Concluding, I would say that there are a lot of quirky elements in “No More Tears”, from the excellently managed vocal loop to the bounciness of the drop. Evidently enough, tons of work has been done on this instrumental.
Sometimes we feel sad, it’s normal. Jeez, I’m quarantined in my house for two weeks already because of the virus, for example, I’m rather stressed! I NEEDED cheery vibes that songs like “No More Tears” are bringing. This was a whiff of fresh air, congratulations to all the people involved!
