• Precious melody
• Emotional atmosphere
• Lovely old school kick
The amount of music that is released every single day it’s absolutely overwhelming, which makes many not-so-known artists go unnoticed. This is the case of Envine and some more artists signed to Scantraxx Silver. It’s great to listen to Heady, Sound Rush or any other mainstream Hardstyle artist, but in this genre, there are lots of people who are at the same level and don’t have even half of the recognition of those big names. I discovered Envine with “Coming Home” two years ago, and I can say that I spent more time listening to him than to the supposed “big” guys.
Getting into “Lights Will Guide You”, his new release, the break starts with just delicate elements such as soft pads, airy synths and lovely arpeggiators, accompanying the splendid vocal performance made by Mark Vayne without taking its leadership. It smoothly increases its power to reach the classic solo synth section, where we can admire all the beauty of the leads and the melody, the strongest point of this track. I loved it the first time I heard it and I still love it after listening to it tens of times, it has something magical and catchy that makes you want to repeat it again and again. I can ensure that, for me, it’s by far the best melody I’ve heard in lots of months.
What can I say about the drop, it’s just an improvement of what I already described in the last paragraph. The kick is just amazing, that old school punch suits Euphoric Hardstyle way better than those trendy resonant attacks that make no sense on an elegant style like this. As usual in this genre, the last drop goes up a semitone to add that extra freshness and epicness to the last drop, making it unique and even more powerful.
“Lights Will Guide You” has all the things that I love of Euphoric Hardstyle and it doesn’t have a single one that I don’t like, so this my concept of a perfect track of this genre. I just can congratulate Envine for the marvellous job he did and wish him all the success he deserves.
