Winning Team – Lullaby

While listening to the latest Hardwell On Air, the demo of the week impressed us. From the cold lands of Finland, Winning Team brought a heatwave of energy, in the form of a banger called “Lullaby”.
Funny fact: the team is composed by 4 people, and it’s probably one of the biggest producing groups around!

Comparing this melodic big room banger to other styles is hard. Some fans guessed similarities with an ID by Headhunterz and No Mondays (because of the melody in the drop), and this is already a sign of exceptional quality!

However, the break is particular for us, fresh and mysterious, and it adds that pinch of personality that we always appreciate. If you were thinking about a calm tune, because of the title, you are quite wrong.

“Lullaby” is energetic and kinda dark. The intro is spectacular, with a soft flute and a hypnotic melody (impossible to categorize for us)…
Very interesting!

Then, a frenetic big room lead begins stacking some hype for the drop. We loved the transitions between fast parts (like the drop and part of the break) and calmer points. There is an exceptional complexity behind this tune, and it’s normal, considering that four people worked on it.

The drop, as said, presents a catchy melody, a massive lead, and a bassline that reminded us of Quintino. Dynamic, sure, but with a structure that emphasizes its static elements (like the percs). Quintino fans may find some common elements. We are not crazy about this scheme, but we agree that it’s a particular and innovative idea!

In conclusion, “Lullaby” is a hybrid between different styles, together with some fresh ideas from this big team. The group managed to produce an interesting and enjoyable production, with the right amount of creativity. Revealed.dj often presents interesting demos, and “Lullaby” is another great discovery!
