• The duo managed to not ruin the unique lead, reworking the structure in a clever way

Today we have a fresh remix by Gustaf Bjornberg and TIBA, and the remixed song is a familiar one.
Exactly! “Through To You” may ring a bell to the ears of some of our fans, because we reviewed it a couple of weeks ago as a Discovery Talents Review! The original dance track by the Dutch talent Lyente was a gorgeous and catchy production, with a unique Turkish flute that fascinated us.
The Swedish and the Belgian talents involved are not a new pair. The duo, in fact, also produced a remix for the “Nightcall” Spinnin’ Contest (awarded as “track of the week” by us, just leaving that here). Their approach is pop-oriented, with relaxing future bass and trap vibes. Not a news for TIBA fans (his style is very chilly and delicate), while Gustaf Bjornberg, even though he often experiments with slower tones, is more focused on progressive house and big room.
Anyway, why are we bringing here this “Through To You” remix?
First of all, in case you missed the gorgeous original, this is a perfect chance to correct your mistake! Second, being serious, this remix perfectly solved a hidden desire by us. Having a slightly chillier version, without destroying the original, unique atmosphere. It is almost a miracle that the impressive talent of Gustaf Bjornberg and TIBA turned our desire into reality!
Their remix, in fact, amazed us. Especially because of the drop. We loved how the unique Turkish flute gets a future bass treatment in a balanced way! Sure, the remix lacks a bit of the original bounciness, but to compensate for that we get a fantastic structure! It’s made of sudden stops and vibrant pauses, valorizing the bassline and makes the listener truly enjoy the flute. A real work of intelligence and ability, because it’s not easy to rework a song in such a creative way!
We truly liked the original “Through To You”, and we were hoping for a remix that respected it. Gustaf Bjornberg and TIBA did better than that, realizing a real work of passion, talent, and that pinch of craziness that always helps.
