JERMUK – Go Back

How can I summarize the “Go Back” genre? Mhhh, I think that “big dark progressive electro bounce trance” is perfect!

Being serious, the new track by JERMUK is a colossal hybrid between a lot of EDM genres. Guess what? I love it. This interesting American duo created a solid new signature style fusing together a lot of different elements. It’s easier for me to write down all the influences the song has.

1. Heavy Big Room kick
2. Dark Progressive scheme and melody
3. Electro house lead (it reminds me of R3SPAWN’s one)
4. Trance (?) break, really particular and emotional
5. Bounce mood, really catchy and aggressive

In few words, “Go Back” is a superb hybrid that I obviously loved. I find funny that if you pick all the particulars alone, they are not really creative (apart from the break), but the overall effect is fresh and interesting.

Needless to say that “Go Back” is a banger, even if you don’t notice the creativity behind it. The drop is aggressive but melodic, the break is really emotional, the output is a tune that keeps me entertained. The only complaint I have to say is about its duration: with only 2.31 minutes of length, it finished too soon for me!

Anyway, I’m really satisfied by this new Pink Shrimp releases, it has the right idea and the perfect realization. Lovely.
