I’ve never reviewed a song from Revealed.dj (a platform from Revealed for the “demo of the week” releases) because they weren’t impressing me, until today.
Krimsonn dropped “Hold Me Close”, a progressive track that surprised me for its creativity and elegance.
The producer from El Salvador is not a new name for the progressive scene, having some releases on various labels, like MOI, Quartzo and Puregold.
His progressive house style is really elegant! I reviewed his track “Love Wave” for example, and I recommend checking it and “Collide” too, another bomb.
What I liked the most here is the creativity and originality brought by “Hold Me Close”, from the chords to the vocal.
The intro is immediately extremely interesting, with a calm and hypnotic distorted flute lead. The mood seems “medieval“, or at least, in my modest opinion, suitable for a movie soundtrack. I consider it elegant yet nostalgic, especially because of the melancholic vocal.
I loved it, mysterious and sweet, it’s an important detail of the tune.
The drop was pretty unexpected, it follows a style that I like to call “Protocol Style“. Electro lead, but very melodic drop with a calm and emotional atmosphere.
In the end, I really enjoyed “Hold Me Close”: it’s creative, classy, emotional and really catchy! I think it should deserve a release on the Revealed main channel!
