• Difficult formula, easy to mess up
While I asked ODAX as our curator for our monthly “Selected By You” playlist, I was actually reviewing one of his submissions, “Lost In Love”. So, you may have already heard it on the playlist, bundled with other Big Room bangers that the mentioned artist has finely selected.
Getting straight to the point, it is nice to hear the brutality that comes from Indian producer, together with the German duo GRYM. While romance wasn’t the emotion I felt here, it was rather obliterating screeches in an anti-climax, considering that type of build-up. The breakdown, especially in the second one, utilizes orchestral ensemble while in accord to the hardstyle vibes that dominates through. Genial!
And then, the drop erupts with a familiar Big Room Trance schematic, with a nod to Sandro Silva influences with the fills. Being a complex melody, it is surprising on how catchy it gets! Usually, it is easy to slip and lose the pace in these difficult settings, but that is not the case here.
Rave Culture material? Absolutely, I wouldn’t mind a collaboration between ODAX, GRYM and Sandro Silva… For now, enjoy this underground heater!
