“The One” is one of my favorite tracks ever by W&W. Its sweetness, its elegance, its energy… They are unique.
TONYC remixed it in a trap approach, and I liked this version very much, so I decided to present it to you, even if it’s a bit old.
The German producer created a “festival trap” edit, but very creative, complex and melodic than expected. I loved the speeded up break (the unique vocal gains even more energy), especially when the legendary melody starts to play.
The drop is… Different, I was expecting a generic speeded up drop, but TONYC made something more interesting. He put his personality inside it, delivering a melodic drop with a full personality. It clashes a bit with the transition, being a standalone part of the song, but it works.
In my opinion, festival trap remixes usually are really generic. The drops are always the original ones speeded up, with few elements added, TONYC tried to overcome this problem, creating something really particular and unique.
In my opinion, this is a lovely idea, because it takes the remix one step further than the others. Good job!
