With Ultra Miami currently engaging and electrifying the crowd, one cannot simply brush aside the energetic “Miami Samplers” unveiled via various record labels. Uprising Canadian label Alpha Recordz have also posted their own festival-reeking sampler. Today we will review one of the interesting track from this sampler, titled “Antara” by DamLuke. A creative fusion between subtle ethnic sounds and striking Electro/Big Room, “Antara’ is a production showcasing its power and aggressiveness, without any falter. DamLuke brought his Greek influence into an energetic electro house scheme, and the result fascinated us!

Initiating with a robust percussive intro, the track develops traction and intensity as it marches towards the striking drop. With a stepping up riser, the drop leaps in with a generous amount of strength. Playing over an ethnic Arabic style melody, the electro synths play out in an alternate way, a usual method in big room genre. Impressively, the synths and the melody suit each other quite well, complemented by the typical big room backdrop.

Succeeding the driving drop, the breakdown changes the tone to calm and ethnic mood. With a sublime eastern music rhythm, various distinct strings and pads come into play, then introducing a female vocal chant. This combination of exotic components, while creating a mysterious feeling in the breakdown, also adeptly escalates when the familiar snare riser enters swiftly. The second drop follows soon after, hitting with a different intensity.

“Antara”, nonetheless, ensures the listener a fair dosage of electro house with its own take on providing exotic vibes on the platter.
