Talking about new releases, we have a fresh revelation from none other than the Finnish talent Samlight, whose music we have often talked about. His new production once again precedes expectations with sublime and melodic nature of his works. The new song, called “Welcome”, is his collaboration with the uprising Netherlands based act Stage Republic, whose frontman Raven effectively voiced this single.
Released in the well-known division of Spinnin’ Talent Pool, Samlight has consistently made himself a recurring name in this specific label. Past a few months ago, this particular team-up had their first synergy titled as “Fire”. The track consisted of slickly blended Rock vibes with the familiar Future House sound. This resulted in an atmospheric breakdown and build-up, while the shuffling and elated drop segment added a relish-able zest. Needless to add that our reaction was enthusiastic!
Coming into “Welcome”, the appealing vocal takes the spotlight while the subtle backdrop elements flow along. Presence of an alluring piano furthers the ear-pleasant tone, while the following section appears after an elegant build-up. This drop feels rather progressive, however without the unnecessary vigour. The rhythm, simple and catchy, uses the sonorous and sharp synth-lines. The slightly slower pace of the beat embeds the right amount of energy requisite, without ruining the melodic attribute. Delicate drop, but still capable to show its dynamism.
In overall, “Welcome” opens with a charming vocal hook and then leads with the well-made and enticing instrumental. Great work from the involved artists!
