Today, we will be talking of the up and coming Indian producer Astra, who has gathered quite the reputation and support with his releases. His new act “ASHWYN” focuses on a refreshing and unique take on synthwave-inspired music. Titled as “New Life”, the amalgamation of slick guitar riffs and a subtle instrumental has roped both our attention and appreciation.

Specializing in melodic and atmospheric Progressive House sounds, the Boston-based talent has also recently collaborated with renowned Dutch DJ/Producer Suyano. The product of their synergy was named as “Brother In Arms”. Embedded with a resonating melody, suave vocal and well-composed drop segment, this Revealed Recordings release was one of its kind.
Talking about our subject of discussion, this debut single initiates with a vibrant and leading female vocal, as the sublime backdrop accompanies it harmoniously. Another highlight of these segments is the guitar, which adds a splendid and organic vibe to the whole production. But it does not restrict its role, but also takes the limelight in the following section of the song. With a smooth transition, the drop adds a whole another level of pizazz and cadence. Featuring a chiming and sonorous electric guitar lead, the schematics further involves requisite percussion and 808s. The creative merge of genres/style leads to an excellent unison.
