When I think about genres which have lots of possibilities and ways to unleash creativity, Trance always comes to my mind. It’s absolutely amazing to see how producers can develop incredible and unexpectable ideas joining elements from different genres and styles, helping the industry with that extra point of freshness and innovation. Only geniuses are able to master this technique, and DIM3NSION is, of course, one of them.
Being considered the best Spanish Trance producer at the moment, this guy continues surprising everybody with his new creations. The track we are reviewing today, Crash, it’s a clear proof of that. Since the beginning, as soon as we hear the fantastic spooky break we know that we are listening to something different. It’s amazing to see how the breaks could transmit that dismal feeling using only a soft synth, a pluck and some percussions. Chapeau.
Suddenly, a short uplifter tells us that something is going to happen… Some crazy leads start playing a great melody which is supported by a strong kick and a powerful bassline. The big reverb of the lead and its “in your face” mix placement makes you instantly think about that characteristic “big room meets trance” style which has NWYR as its main representative. Anyway, one of the many virtues of this song is that it has its own personality, so trying to compare it with anything else would result in a waste of time.
With all this said, I just can encourage DIM3NSION to continue doing masterpieces like “Crash”, without being afraid of experimenting with new sounds and different schemas. Doing so, I’m sure that he will become the new Armin or Ferry Corsten in a short time.
