87/100
• Packed with intensity
• Gripping atmosphere with emotions
• Leading and hypnotic vocal
As this eventful year proceeds towards its end, we have yet another splendid production to talk about. This specific article will be on the latest record released by the Italy based Wasback, who enjoyed heavy reputation with his energetic and vibrant releases throughout the year. This time he teamed up with leading French artist Maeva Carter, delivering an anthem-ic and progressive track. Furthermore, they joined forces with the talented vocalist Drew Ryn for the vocal duties. Christened as “Fatal“, this Maxximize release easily takes the cake with both intense and emotional attributes.
Talking briefly about the collaborators, this is not the first tune the Italian talent has crafted with Drew Ryn. Earlier this year, Wasback unveiled another delectable and dynamic song in Maxximize, named “Rise Again”. A brief listen of the track reveals the atmospheric break and the opulent drop segment, working hand in hand. We expected the same with “Fatal”, and we have to admit that our expectations were fulfilled sumptuously.
Starting with the breakdown, this release utilizes tension creating background synths, along with the hypnotic voice leading it. Intensifying the tone, the vocal elevates to the riser, materializing plucky synths only to be replaced with emerging chiming synths. With a dominant peace, the drop hits the sweet-spot with massive synth line, paired with alluring melody hook. It gets even more sentimental from here, with a subtle piano accompanying the beat as it plays over efficiently.
Summarizing, it will be fair enough to say that “Fatal” excels hugely, and certainly makes us anxious to hear what comes next from these talented names!
