Wasback – Rise Again (feat. Drew Ryn)

In the summer of 2017, a splendid progressive tune popped out from Maxximize, produced by M35, Elle Vee and Wasback. Almost one year later, the Italian talent dropped its follow-up, “Rise Again” feat Drew Wyn, again on the Blasterjaxx’s label.

It’s a quite nostalgic song (especially in the break), but with a refreshing energy in the drop part. Drew Wyn presented a more powerful and vibrant vocal than expected, making “Rise Again” stronger and dynamic. The magical break displays her vocal together with an impressive climax. Quite minimal, but the result sounds mysterious and rich of climax.

After a few seconds, progressive lovers will feel a familiar sensation: a melodic and epic buildup begins to play. Wasback used a passionate and dynamic melody, the overall mood is soft, relaxing, yet full of energy in the drop part. The frenetic rhythm keeps the listener interested, while the superlative bassline completes the scheme.

It’s a great drop, with a perfect balance between an emotional approach (a classic Wasback design) and a passionate energy. Strong and calm at the same time! The melody, incredibly catchy, does help very much in that… It’s so hypnotic that I didn’t really “felt” it, the first time, it flows quickly but gently, so as to be imperceptible and lightweight!

It is necessary to feel it again and again to get all the minor details in the right way!

“Rise Again”, compared to “Let It Go”, is more dynamic and energetic, but they both have that magical sensation that only a talent like Wasback can put into a song. Two wonderful tunes.
Progressive is back on Maxximize, with class, talent and elegance. Bravo!
