85/100

• Released in Quartzo Recordings
• Packed with dynamics and variations
• Hypnotic breakdown, leading drop segment!

Just a month ago, we reviewed one of the most potential debuts by a newcomer. Naming himself as BRANSON, this Finnish native has shown magnitudes of talents with his single. Come November, we received yet another splendid production from him in advance. Released in Quartzo, this splendid record has been titled as “Tremble”.

One of the persistent problem, if not disappointing, is generic ideas being released over and over. New artists, who aim for getting to the peak of the industry, end up using similar schematics and techniques. This has eventually led to saturation in the scene, but thanks to talents like BRANSON, there is a distinctiveness in certain releases. Choosing to go with an alluring and frenetic mixture of Big Room and Progressive house, we were heavily impressed with his first single “The Launch”. This track took inspiration from the modern-day Dark Progressive genre, which has gained quite the reputation over the years for its energy. But what made this song even more unique was the melodic approach and the vigour embedded, accounting for the specific sound.

Talking about “Tremble”, there are two segments as usual which keeps the dynamism burning throughout the track. Starting with the breakdown, both of them focus on materialising a trance-y atmosphere. Engaging the ears with this vibrancy, the drop components tease over in the riser as the whole drop kicks effortlessly in action! Using intense saw-synths, the drop utilizes the shuffling and changing rhythm for stamina. The efficient synth-layering plays a major role, as it provides the power creatively. Following the first drop, the final breakdown brims with even more sumptuous and hypnotic vibes. Paired with a grand piano, another lovely vocal snippet grabs attention. Quickly transitioning to the saw synths, the instrumental builds up the tension efficiently. Without much further delay, the last round of drop strikes with a different punch and intensity!

In short, “Tremble” is yet another radiant and magnetic work from BRANSON!
