JETFIRE & 22Bullets – PLACEBO

79/100

• Ethnic themed Electro House
• Distinctive instrumental
• Exotic melody and rushing percussion

The third weekend of November has provided us with tons of new releases, and this article is going to be on the new release on Dharma, the much appreciated sub-label of Spinnin’ Records. This brand-new unveil is a collaboration between two promising and talented stage names, JETFIRE and 22Bullets. Christening their latest production as “PLACEBO”, this ethnic themed electro house instrumental embeds festival vibes, both creatively and efficiently.

When it comes to the producers involved, the Belgian-Israeli group JETFIRE have kept themselves busy for the whole year. They also were mostly active with their preceding releases in Dharma, including collaborations with Timmy Trumpet and Karmatek. In these records, they experimented with their usual signature and the Eastern mystical sounds, putting a different twist and punch to their works.
On the other hand, 22Bullets has cemented his name further in the industry, with his previous release “Konichiwa” on Revealed Recordings, and a couple of other solid productions (including an official remix for R3HAB).

Talking about our subject of today, “Placebo” injects high hopes right from the start. The atmosphere strongly supports the ethnic feel, while another robotic vox hits in just as the riser makes it way. Resonating with stamina, the drop takes over, laden with exotic melody and substantiated with percussion hooks. The right mixture of both this work precisely, presenting good amounts of intensity, as needed!

All in all, this Dharma release resonates with the quality and distinctive sound one can expect from these names involved and the label.
