From time to time, we often get hypnotized by the charming and engaging genre of Trance. As for today, we have a brand new single from Madrid-based uprising talent Drival. His new exquisite record impressed us at every level and is a must listen if you are fanatic of the genre. Following the uplifting sub-genre of peak-time trance, the escalating melodies and dreamy atmosphere harmonize to deliver a unique experience to the ears. Christened as “Full Moon”, it has been released by the label Phoenix Recordings (Joyride Music).
A short peek at Drival’s SoundCloud account convinced us of his adept skills. Specializing in uplifting trance, he also has released on the famed record labels like AVA and Redux. His last work was no less than a festival wrecker, taking inspirations from modern-day big room house, and blending it with progressive rhythms and striding backdrop. Displaying a catchy sonorous melody, and later complemented by massive saw, it further catches up with booming kicks and rapid riffs. However, this particular work we will be talking of explores a more sentimental and emotional vibe.
Initiating the breakdown, a grandiose piano adds a sober touch over the sublime pads. With that hint of nostalgia and vibrancy, it slowly materializes in the arp-plucky synth, which continues the narrative. It intensifies as the drop approaches smoothly, elevating the background to a full-fledged groove. The drop brings in the familiar trance saw synths, playing out with pace and simultaneously creating that riveting effect. There is no dearth of the opulence in this production, as it continues with the imposing beat without falter.
“Full Moon” grabs the listener with its engrossing ingredients, and with no further doubts, will be a delightful addition for any trance zealot’s playlist.
