DubVision – Antares

October 8, 20182 min read

84/100

• Delightful instrumental
• Elegant arrangements, yet dynamic
• Hooking melody with swirling groove

For today, we have yet another splendid single to review, which will be an instant favourite for many of our readers. It is none other than the latest release of luminary Dutchmen DubVision, who have continued to impress us with their vibrant career. Titled as “Antares”, this record resonates the anthemic progressive qualities effectively!

Continuing their successful run with the Meta4our, joining forces with their native mates Firebeatz. The first single from them, “Best Part Of Me“, amalgamated the signatures of both the artists, and resulted in cheery and sublime instrumental. Along with that was the charming male vocal, which enhanced it. While it wasn’t the usual progressive, it delivered hooking melody with shuffling bassline rhythm, something which reminded us of the splendid Axwell & Ingrosso’s “Sun Is Shining”. Talking about the last preceding record, “Steal The Moon“, was atmospheric with alluring vox and snare-laden groove. The different arrangement felt opulent and catchy, nonetheless.

Starting with plucky chords, in the beginning, the emotional tone starts to escalate with arp synths and soaring pads as compliments. The melody materializes elegantly, reverberating with the other components harmoniously. Taking lead, the snare riser lunges in, swiftly upbringing the euphoric drop intensely. Once there, this segment of the production kicks in with blasts of energy and pizazz, not to forget the sentimental and rhythmic touch to the beat. While it is delightful to listen the signature epic sound of this duo, the cadence gets slightly unique with this one!

As of now, DubVision have proved their immense quality and distinctiveness without doubts. “Antares” is another sumptuous single from them, as expected.
