Volt & State – Sandcastles (Allenberg Remix)

This evening, since it’s Saturday and everybody is going outside partying, I want to share something chilly and elegant. Yes, it’s not really coherent, but this bootleg really deserves some attention.

As you may know “Sandcastles” is one of my favorite tracks ever, and I’m really jealous about it. It’s an awesome progressive tune from the duo Volt & State and, since there was a remix contest, I’ve heard hundreds of remixes.

I’ve never really found spectacular versions, the original still keep being the best, but the world is full of nice “Sandcastles” remixes, this one for example.

Allenberg from Canada made something really sweet and nice, a version with a particular elegance and mood. It’s a hybrid between progressive house and Alan Walker style, with some future bass elements in addition. I loved the lead, high-pitched and curious, but with a lot of personality to add a sweet essence to the bootleg, and if you like Alan Walker, you may find some similarities here.

Allenberg made a nice break, emphasizing the vocal and adding some creativity, but in my opinion the drop is the most interesting part. It’s hard for me describing the class of this young talent, but he definitively deserves a good rating. What a bootleg!
