Stadiumx – Thinking Of You

Who doesn’t like a good and energetic house song?

I happen to live in a city at exactly 40 minutes of car from the famous Miami’s South Beach. You can guess it: it’s the Miami Music Week and the whole city is in thrill! There are dance beats flying around everywhere.

So yesterday I was at a relatively small bar in the centre of South Beach and I had the luck of seeing this DJ playing some old school house, while the other people at the bar were enjoying some drinks and even dancing around (real dancing, not fist pumping).

After all the EDM and hip-hop buzzing around the city, this sort of throwback experience was particularly refreshing. And that is exactly where StadiumX’s latest production comes from: ‘Thinking Of You’ has a whole 90’s house music vibe around it.

Starting with some shuffly beats and some (pardon the repetition) old school female vocals, this house gem revolves around an extremely pleasant melodic piano lead. Very reminiscent of their 2014 Progressive House style, the synth builds up delicate with the vocal, and bursts into an energetic disco-tinted drop.

It was love at first hear. An unknown female cuddles your ears in the break. Even the lyrics, for how repetitive they might b-… hold on, exactly because of how repetitive they are they give you an old house reminiscence!

StadiumX melded their more recent future house style with some older progressive house features of theirs and threw them into a mixing pot with old groovy disco and house music to mould a real energetic dancefloor killer.

And while a lot of people are still complaining about them not bringing back the ‘Howl At The Moon’ sound, this SPRS record already received some massive support in the radio shows of Hardwell, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Afrojack, W&W and many more!
