With the beautiful and uplifting genre of progressive house side lining from the mainstream dance music, it is slowly becoming a rarity to discover tracks from this genre. However, if you are a big time progressive house connoisseur like us, this song will impress you to the core!
Coming to “Need You”, the vocal plays a major role in developing the sentimental and charming atmosphere. Alina Renae is extremely experienced, with collaborations with Nurko, Mil and Cookies, Moiez… Years of experience here! The engaging vocal leads the breakdown as the tone intensifies for the incoming riser. Following a basic snare riser, the drop takes over with strong gusto.
It’s a nice drop, in our opinion. Jack Taylor doesn’t risk too much here, giving a solid structure, that even if not presenting a particular identity, shows great skills and a joyful catchiness. A vibrant and energetic bassline supports a bouncing melody: sweet and emotional, in pure Jack Taylor style!
Rushing intense basslines and synths dominate in the following drop, as another lead synth plays over a few notes. Overall arrangement gives a very 2012-ish progressive house feeling, but nonetheless steady and alluring.
“Need You” is undeniably a lovely production from Jack Taylor and exceeded our expectations!
