Sander Van Doorn – No Words (feat. Belle Humble)

February 26, 20182 min read

88/100

Today Sander Van Doorn decided to delight our ears with a lovely and sweet progressive song. “No Words” is more than just a normal release, it’s a comeback to Doorn’s 2010 style. A thing missing since then, in our opinion.

Featuring the delicate vocal of Belle Humble, “No Words” brings back old emotions and memories. The calm and intense break, with a solid piano melody, accompanies the singer’s voice. No words needed here: Belle did a great job delivering wonderful lyrics and a relaxing vibe. Then, the buildup begins to rise.

That’s the moment when we realized that “No Words” was going to be fantastic. The piano was still there, with the addition of a elegant yet solid lead, playing a progressive melody. The style slightly reminds us of Dubvision (and in fact Sander Van Doorn was one of the first major producers to launch the notorious duo, with the collaboration “Into The Light“) and we loved that!
The dynamic lead plays a melody that focuses slightly more on being “sweet” than catchy. An emotional drop, without a shade of doubt.

Sander Van Doorn, with this surprising move, brought back a nostalgic feeling. Despite Doorn being extremely underground now (more focused on deep house), this unexpected gem brings some light over a label that we usually, unfortunately for us, ignore.

“No Words” is beautiful and that’s it. It left us with no words. You can’t miss it, you’ll be delighted by this worldwide star who keeps releasing great music even after so many years.
