Axwanging – Neon

June 6, 20192 min read

• Amicable and hooking tone
• Fitting vocal performance
• Resonating drop segment

The new summer month has started with as expected a lot of new productions, as both the luminaries and buzzing new talents strive to unveil new music. Among this, we are particularly going to focus on the German native Axwanging. Having an impressive support list already, the up and coming artist has released his newest record “Neon” in Quartzo Records. It immediately caught our attention for its characteristic summer vibe, and not to forget the resonating and alluring Progressive House arrangements.

If any listener spares some time to go through his discography, they will find Axwanging quite meticulous with his work. His preceding song “Feels So Good” hangs on a subtle vibe, with due credit to the appealing female voice. The elegant and booming tone in the breakdown elevates swiftly, bringing upon a somewhat laid-back yet hooking Future House drop. Riveting and refreshing! There is also a release on CELL, our beloved scammer friends, but everybody commits mistakes. We don’t judge an artist for one of his labels’ behaviour.

Coming back to our focus of today, “Neon” commences with an amicable and ear-pleasant tone, thanks to the cheerful and charming presence of male vocal. A subtle piano, as both plucky and chiming synth work in synergy to aid the vox. With the help of feel-good lyrics, the instrumental then progresses towards the climactic segment. The drop kicks off with great fervour, introducing the well-composed melody-hook. Meanwhile, the sonorous synths keep up the pizzazz level, driving with the requisite energy. If the breakdown helped the energy surge, the drop effectively utilised it. And not to forget about the positive atmosphere developed, which enhances the emotions emanating from this sounds!

To draw up a summary, “Neon” is an amusing piece of music, embedded with the luring necessities for a song of this distinct yet exquisite genre.
