• Delicate and emotional progressive house track
• Lacks a bit of personality and fullness in both breaks
• Well produced drops with a catchy melody
It’s always good to hear some good music from artists you don’t know, and in this case, that’s exactly what happened to me. Revealed.dj continues offering great tunes which, despite being free, have an excellent quality, even better than some regular releases.
“The Sound Of Ocean” is a tune that impressed me. Created by TONG APOLLO and Nicole Chen, it features the presence of I Am Asa.
A charming guitar welcomes us, with some vocal chops that make you expect an emotional vocal. Nothing is further from reality. The typical ambience synths and progressive house drums take over both breaks, which makes this track lack a bit of fullness and personality in my opinion… But enjoyable.
Talking about the drop, it has a beautiful melody and pretty standard synths, making it powerful and emotional but also quite predictable. I really liked the mid drop fill, it refreshes your ears and makes you ready for the second half of the drop.
To sum up, we have a quite good instrumental progressive house track, whose breaks could be a bit boring at some points. I felt a little lack of personality in there, but it’s always difficult to make progressive house without vocals.
Anyway, the drops are really enjoyable and the sound design is good, making this one a really decent track that does its job pretty well! Super catchy, super recommended!
