If you ask me what’s the most important thing I search in a track, what’s the secret for getting a high grade, my reply will be variable. Sometimes I care the most about the idea, sometimes about a particular part of the song, sometimes it depends on my mood. But there is a thing that, if made well, will help very much in obtaining my approbation.

Personality.

“RunAway”, starting from the title, has personality and uniqueness. Madox Records confirms to be one of the most interesting upcoming labels around, and Ricky Alavi is their latest discovery.

The German talent dropped something really particular, a progressive tune with one of the best vocal chops I’ve ever heard. “RunAway” is sweet, elegant, but with a strong energy and a majestic melody. The vocal chops will immediately impress you, they are hard to describe but incredibly effective. Moreover, the violins in the break definitively made me fall in love.

In few words, Ricky Alavi focused all his efforts on the vocal chops. Risky move? Yes.
But the result is unique and extraordinary, in my opinion. It may work, or it may don’t, this is a subjective choice, but for me, this is a genial song. Catchy and creative, I was positively impressed by the futuristic way of producing by Ricky Alavi.

The only part I didn’t like was the buildup, slightly weaker than expected, but that’s not a big deal.

Special mention to the stunning artwork, Madox designer made a masterpiece once again!
