• Haarley’s vocal is the secret weapon of the track
• Dark Trance Big Room background
• First drop: OK. Second drop: Crazy!
That’s an unusual review for our rules, since we mostly accepts songs that have been released in the past 15 days, but sometimes a pinch of flexibility is allowed, if the readers are involved. In fatc, our fans on Discord have asked us to review “Language Of Love“, and here we are! Sure, with a lot of delay, but it’s a tough period at work and school for the team: we are slower than usual.
Anyway, the creation of KANON, Matt Alvarez and Haarley has a pretty strong characteristic: the vocal. Haarley only sang for a few segments, but her sweet voice clashes in a splendid way with the dark theme underneath. It’s just a detail, but I really had fun with that: it’s somehow unexpected, considering that Trance Big Room mostly uses low-pitched or distorted elements.
Speaking about the drops, the first one left me doubtful, since I found the schema rather generic, it was missing something. Luckily, after Haarley’s introduction in the buildup and the more melodic and unpredictable final segment, I can happily declare to be satisfied! The last seconds are an explosion of dynamism, the right way to end such an energetic structure.
Speaking about the creators, if you follow Intensity you may have already heard about them. I have praised Matt Alvarez in “Save You”, while KANON has several bouncy bootlegs laying around. Together with the magnificent voice of Haarley, the trio worked well, even if I was hoping for a more creative approach. “Language Of Love” is a great pick nonetheless, recommended to all Festival EDM lovers.
