“Dusk Till Dawn”, a release by the pop heavyweights ZAYN featuring renowned singer Sia, got a fascinating remix! The author is the talented Dutch future house Dj/Producer Brooks, who has already has etched his name in this industry.
The original track has a slow and emotional vibe to it, but Brooks has adeptly added an energetic tone to it with his unique synth sounds and melodies. Without any delay after releasing Jetlag with Mike Williams, which was a splendid production.
The remix starts with the original vocal from Zayn and Sia, slowly escalating towards the drop, without many elements coming in, pacing towards the quick snare riser. This snare riser rapidly increases the energy, and introduces the signature bouncy and melodic drop of Brooks, with bright lead synths backed by solid future house/bounce bassline. The drop melody fits the overall track quite perfectly, and doesn’t feel out of the place or misfitting. Switching between two main lead synths, the drop really impressed me with its kinetic attributes.
Overall, I really liked the way how Brooks added such a dynamic drop to the slow pop vibe, and without doubt, this remix makes it even more ear catchy and groovy. Out of the other two official remixes that have been released besides this one, Brooks’s remix clearly strikes me as more original and fresh.
My final verdict would be that this remix has been well crafted, and certainly is one of my favorite future house remix of a pop track.
