“Respirator” is an exotic and appealing track from the Toronto based producer Flex Gordon. As usual, the production is a chill deep house with major lean towards the atmospheric ambiance. It slowly progresses and sways throughout. Using different tribalistic percussions to keep it interesting, the atmosphere is managed perfectly.
The track starts with pads and strings in the backdrop, with a soft piano playing beside.
Keeping a slight deep house hint, the hi-hats and kick, “Respirator” keeps going peacefully without any compromise to the ambient atmosphere, slowly intensifying, then smoothly gliding into the second breakdown.
The second breakdown follows the same pattern as the first, without many variations, totally focused on the relaxing mood.
My final thoughts on this one are that the job by Flux Gordon is quite good… It’s definitely worth a listen. A perfect choice for you if you are more into the atmospheric and chill side of electronic music.
