KAAZE – The Legend Of Kaaze

January 5, 20192 min read

83/100

• Retrò videogame atmosphere
• Classic KAAZE musical structure
• Final gift of KAAZEMAS

With a week of delay (hey, holidays are holidays!), we finally present “The Legend Of Kaaze“, one of the most awaited (and requested) tunes of 2018. After almost 2 years, the Swedish progressive producer released this little gem as a free download, inspired by the legendary videogame “The Legend Of Zelda”.

“The Legend Of Kaaze” is the last one of a series of gifts from KAAZE to all his fans during the whole month of December. During one of the most sensational giveaway series, we have seen acapella, mashups, edits, sample packs and many more special free downloads. Unfortunately we didn’t have much time to talk about this really kind idea by KAAZE, but we recommend checking his socials to discover more about his “KAAZEMAS” event.

So, the final gift is a beautiful, emotional, progressive house free download. I’m personally not a big fan of Zelda, I never played the games, but I managed to feel the passion behind the remix anyway. It’s clear that Zelda marked an important phase of KAAZE’s youth, and he tributed the game with a song.

“The Legend Of Kaaze” follows a classic KAAZE structure, with an elegant construction, solemn chords, and his signature kind of melody. We are slightly bored of hearing it, but we can’t ignore the fact that the song was made in 2016, so we can make an exception. The predictable tone of the concept is balanced by a sweet melody, which fuses KAAZE’s typical mood with a “videogame” atmosphere. Awesome!

In conclusion, KAAZE delighted us with a series of gifts, and the final one was absoutely charming. The timing is not perfect, I think that it could have worked better if released 2 years ago, but nonetheless we still managed to feel the passion and the love for EDM that KAAZE has while listening to “The Legend Of Kaaze”. Definitely, that’s a fantastic way to say goodbye to 2018!
