This guy definitively surprised me with an unreal trap flip of “The Rain”!
I’m not a fan of Akon, and as you should know, I’m not a big fan of future bass too, but I’m a fan of creativity. This producer made something genial, and I must review it.
rover (yes, no capital letters) is a producer from Detroit. If you take a little trip on his Soundcloud channel, you can immediately see that’s his style is strange and creative. That’s exactly what we are looking for here at EDM Reviewer!
“The Rain” has been completely transformed. The original was an emotional and calm tune, but rover picked it and added some trap and future bass elements, in a perfect and difficult combination. I liked a lot of details here, but especially how the vocal has been managed.
Akon voices became more mysterious, accompanied by a secondary distorted vocal and a sublime vocal chops system. The drop is a surprise, I think that it’s better if you will discovery it by yourself because it’s a complex future bass scheme, particular and original! Absolutely recommended!
In the end, I must say that rover made a majestic job. Originality, a little bit of craziness and tons of skills. One to follows!
I would like to underline a little detail about the cover, too… In fact, this genius actually FLIPPED Akon’s body (since the song is a trap flip). I loved this idea, it’s actually the cherry on the top of the tune!
