The recently released megahit tune in the EDM-pop scene, from the well known DJ Snake & American
talented singer Lauv, “A Different Way” is a chill and laidback song. However, a new clean future house groove has been given to this catchy track, from the upcoming Norwegian talent Jack Taylor! The young producer worked alongside the Dutch duo Clean&Sober.

The original tune even though being a chill-back kinda pop tune, definitely needed a groovy remix. These guys have exactly incorporated the right house elements without compromising anything. The “A Different Way” remix starts energetically with a typical future house intro, equipped with a bright dance piano and house groove. The intro fades away to the breakdown, which features the original track’s breakdown, but with a higher
tempo to match up to the pace. After the brief breakdown, the drop synths slowly come up smoothly, finally to take over with an impact as the drop hits.

The drop introduces the future house metallic synths, which are kind of the hallmark of the genre alongside the typical house groove. However, I am impressed with the melody, which fits the original track subtly. The drop, brings in some energy to the track and also unfailingly brings in more dynamics and hence more ear candy-ness.

In overall, the remix, in the end, impressed me, and even if “A Different Way” remains an unique song, the three producers certainly did their job well.
