N4C – Tunnel Vision

• Effective with simplistic means
• Hybrid of both tech and bass elements
• Lesser innovations in the schematic

Being a well-known label, Hysteria unfortunately suffers from a disease impeding its true marketing potential: bad artworks. Extremely forgettable, it poses a problem as this label actually publishes quality records and obviously focused on quality over quantity. N4C has entered their roster recently, as the Italian producer has signed over “Tunnel Vision”, a tune that despite its unusual title, remains faithful to its name until the end. Let me explain.

“Tunnel Vision” acts as a huge tunnel that is constantly following a straight path, with neither bad moments or any surprising twists, hooked onto the same winning formula. As simple as that.

Despite for scarcity of creativity, the groove makes up for it. The vocals and the incredibly LOUD snares are affable to some means, along with the bassline, which is more of a protagonist of this tale crafted by N4C. It lasts for around 120 seconds long, with the low-end wobbling and shifting much like an acid counterpart (in fact, this might be a 909 Acid preset in the works here). There’s not a crowding number of FXs that main-stage Tech House productions contain, but a minimal few that focuses on the rhythm. It is an effective structure, yet it lacks the potential to experiment fully.

This is highly recommended for usual Tech-heads that listen religiously to labels like NOID or Night Service Only, as it doesn’t break the flow of beat and carries it with plenty enthusiasm. N4C is definitely going places, that’s for certain!
