Lukasoprom – I Got It (ft. Niko)

March 27, 20222 min read

• Hooky vocal performance
• Classic lead with booming 808s
• Lovely dark piano building up to the climax

The observant and careful readers may already be familiar with Lukasoprom after my review on the Tribal Trap’s Endemic III that came out last year. The Georgian talent composes a kind of infectious Trap that I love to blast around when being busy, not to forget the “Gangsta” feeling that I get from listening to it, lol.

Since “OG”, other tracks such as “Energy”, “Revolution” and “Piñata” also found their way onto my saved library, the latter featuring the vocalist Niko, who is also reprising his role with today’s material: “I Got It”.

Intertwining ethnic sampling with an unpredictable dose of creativity with plenty of aggressiveness, the pair formulated another stunning release that goes straight to my Tribal catalog of “explosive bangers”.

Entering into the realm etched by this production, a dark piano dominates the breakdown and supports the vocals from the mentioned singer, with a radiant personality (and well, the usual kind of lyrics). An arresting flow speeds up to around the build-up, and then the drop smashes in with dynamite of a sequence. The elements might not be as ingenious as I expected early on, yet I got attracted to the voice and the lead getting together to form a robust and entertaining outcome. Niko truly stands out with his grabbing performance, as the well sorted out execution of the distorted 808s and trap leads enchant the ears.

“Piñata” might have been more bodacious sure, but the duality struck by Niko and Lukasoprom are fatally appealing, and one to be watched in the already competitive roster of Tribal Trap artists!
