• Influenced by STMPD and Hexagon’s styles
• Vibrant drop, pure future house essence
• Catchy vocals, an excellent trademark
Having devoted to Different Records for a few weeks, I have to admire the quality they have adhered alongside providing variety on the platter. When browsing on YouTube, their latest upload caught my eye. Taking a peek, I discovered that it was a new record, “Be The Change“, from an unfamiliar artist named Audioprism. And much to my surprise, this particular project has convinced me of his passion, and hence this article to express my unexpected encounter.
Despite the influences of the prodigious STMPD’s label head lingers in the first segment, Audioprism does not limit himself to just drawing a parallel. He further compensates with his personal touch, which is an applause worthy work. Denis Commie makes his undeniable presence felt with a lively vocal performance, and in the company of the fantastic bassline, there is no shortage of enjoyment here.
If the prior segment felt much inspired from Martin Garrix, the drops deny to work on the same formula. Instead, there are similarities from older Hexagon tracks (remember StadiumX?), from almost three years ago. Incredibly crafted but repetition found its way here too… like unnecessarily long and looped? The drop unfortunately chooses a duration of one minute and feels like an eternity. Also, the first build-up has an emotional touch, whereas the second goes for the danceable and festival oriented sound, thanks to its duration.
But let us not forget that Audioprism is a newcomer in the scene, and for Future House fanatics (perhaps even Progressive House listeners), “Be The Change” is a not-to-be-missed release. Keep an eye out for both this upcoming artist and imprint!
