LGHTR – 51

September 6, 20172 min read

81/100

Dark progressive is a genre which needs no introduction to the big room and electro fanatics. And today, I have got hold of a very right track to review, “51”. It’s from an upcoming label, Madox Records from Germany, crafted with precision by a talented producer from Poland, LGHTR.

This tune already has got massive support from TWIIG, Arcando and many more, and now it’s our turn.
The track combines a fine touch of electro and big room with the progressive. Kinda sweet for a dark progressive tune, but this “calmer” mood is what makes “51” special!
The breakdown starts with a subtle atmospheric pad and with a ticking sound coming in, playing an intense electro melody. The pluck, I would say, it’s pretty generic but it has been well managed. Slowly escalating, the saw comes in with an impressive impact. A total moment of epic saw leads to a brief riser which leads to a fast paced progressive drop.

The drop is an another thing to admire here. Classic electro-progressive synths combined with the intense melody, with a solid raving progressive bassline, unite to create momentous energy. The drop no doubt makes this track really splendid. Catchy and fluid, I loved it!
The second breakdown keeps it more atmospheric with pads and strings in the backdrop. Increasing the tension in the track, just stops for a brief silence to introduce the riser again, which leads to the second drop, hitting with more intensity.

LGHTR has definitely impressed me with this remarkable production, and if he will keep making stuff like this, I’m sure that his future will definitely be very bright. While talking about Madox Records, even with a small fanbase they are showing proficiency to a major level. Keep an eye on them!
They certainly are giving some tough competition to other upcoming labels with releases like this.
“51” doesn’t deviate a word from the label’s description of it. A banger without a doubt!
