• KSHMR´s ethnic sounds fits perfectly with Brooks´ signature
• Good balance between both influences
• The magnificent vocal is a central point of the tune
“Voices” was probably one of the most-awaited collaborations during these months, the expectations were high since KSHMR premiered it on his Tomorrowland 2019 set. Later, we discovered that the other participant was the Dutch Brooks! In my opinion, I was waiting for this collab but without high expectations… In a Brooks collaboration, it’s likely that two things will happen: a song made by 90% of Brooks or a song made by 90% of the other artist (in terms of how we feel while hearing it). His style is so characteristic that he’s struggling to deliver a outcome when team-working. However, this time we have an exception! An equilibrium between two styles has been reached, resulting in “Voices”.
KSHMR made a great job, even if here is not taking inspiration from other cultures to make his numbers (as opposite with his latest track with Sak Noel). Nonetheles, he managed to make clear his involvements on innovative sounds: the melody composition is so gratifying because we can notice both presences.
The vocal is another fundamental element because it gives an extra power to the drop and the characteristic KSHMR-style vocal breakdown. Tzar is a talented vocalist and, thanks to this performance, can become a one-to-watch artist.
Finally, some “voices in my head” which actually sounds good (joking)! Brooks and KSHMR didn´t ruin our expectations and they give us a fantastic future house track that can be easily become of the most supported tracks this year. “Voices” represents an excellent and creative combination between two totally different styles. I hope to see more unexpected collaborations like it, in future!
