Funny coincidence: tomorrow I’m sharing another vocal Progressive House track made by a minor Indian producer that I’ve kept in my review archive for various weeks. Speaking about today, our protagonists are Kastrax, PTSKR, and the US-based singer Machaela. Their lovely collaboration, “Love You Like That”, caught my attention some weeks ago and I’ve decided to write down my thoughts in this little review.

We are talking about small independent realities: both the creators have in their past some minor Soundcloud releases. Kastrax is more oriented towards dubstep, while PTSKR‌ has a focus towards Progressive House. As they told me, during a difficult period, where their mental health was affected by personal problems, they teamed up and created “Love You Like That”. It’s something more “commercial” for their standards, the duo wanted to put the emotions they were feeling inside the product.

Without knowing the backstory, I already felt that there was a lot of passion and solid efforts behind “Love You Like That”. Its attitude, its personality, its majestic elegance managed to give me some great positive vibes, which was the objective of its creators.

We can notice a quality vocal by Machaela, who added a sweet touch, especially in the breakdown. During some segments, her voice clashed a bit too much with the base, a detail that gave me the feeling that volumes were slightly unbalanced. The mix could have been better, but this is a small reality, and I understand that.
Apart from that, the happy base works pretty well, using a joyful lead that slowly escalates into a powerful and solemn sequence of chords. I rarely make comparisons, but I had a “Manse” vibe here.

What I care the most while listening to “Love You Like That”, was having fun. It’s a song that brings joy and happiness, and‌ I felt the passion that the trio put in their job. Reviewing these little gems is one of the reasons why I love blogging.
