The uprising Dutch artist Thom Bold has unveiled a superlative production which guarantees nifty and ear-catching vibes. Collaborating along with talented American vocalist Rama Duke, this track has been entitled as ‘Please Don’t Wake Me’.
Following a charming deep house groove, this release also adeptly combines the luscious vocal from Rama Duke. The track starts with a calm house-y intro, also including a piano. The intro then escalates up to the breakdown, where the vocal comes in. Alongside the vocal, the breakdown also features plucky synth and the same piano providing a sublime atmosphere. A brief and precise riser comes in, uplifting the track to an upbeat drop. It keeps the classical future house structure, but it leaves behind a chilly and relaxing effect that it’s hard to describe. However, this “calm” atmosphere is not boring, but rather intriguing, making “Please Don’t Wake Me” an interesting production!
The drop glides in after the subtle breakdown, keeping a snazzy rhythm and embeds more energy into the tune. Consisting of old-school jazzy strings and classical deep house elements, providing a solid backdrop to the vocal, the drop adds the necessary swank and delicacy to the overall production.
In all, this release by Thom Bold is quite impressive, and along with the soulful vocal from Rama Duke, it shows enough deftness for keeping the listeners hooked to it.
