• Delicate vocal presence
• Warm and cordial atmosphere
• Less experimentation, but memorable drop segment
Warren’s name has underlain between various names in collaborations I particularly appreciated… But today I finally have the opportunity to speak about a solo production from this talented Irish artist!
We don’t have a newcomer here by any means, but rather a producer who has been in the industry for better half of this decade, mostly focused on crafting tempting and alluring Progressive House. He has a slow, yet steady productive flow. With releases on the esteemed Revealed Recordings and noteworthy supports from Nicky Romero, Dash Berlin, Yyes V and more, Warren has left a indelible positive impression in the past with his trademark polished sound.
His approach for the genre, as we can hear in “Follow Me”, reminds us of Third Party’s one… A balanced mix between delicate atmospheres and energetic bassline, a combination that has been very efficient; thanks to big names such as Manse, Alesso, Dubvision. The vocal slowly grows on the listener: not aiming for an energetic impression at very first, but calmly lurking in the background. It’s a choice that impressed me: the result is somehow intriguing. Thus the breakdown, especially in the second section, is warm and cordial, leaving a very satisfying effect: it’s almost painful hearing the buildup growing, with the next section looming towards us.
The drop follows the boundaries, with quality and aptness expected. It’s a part of “Follow Me” where I was expecting something more experimental, undeniable that I was satisfied by the result. Safe move here.
While listening to this, there’s the heartfelt tone which makes it welcoming. Warren used a very delicate vocal and carved a beautiful atmosphere around it: the breakdown was by far my favorite moment of “Follow Me”. The drop is enjoyable and splendidly crafted as well, I definitively recommend this release! With this one, Warren certainly got a chance to stand out.
