Jack & James, Castion – Jafar

April 19, 20202 min read

• Suave vocals, perfectly fitting
• Debonair Future Bounce drop
• Summer-ish melody, festival banger

Maybe if you’re acquainted with the Future House genre, then these particular names will ring a bell, as both are up and coming talents taken directly from Revealed Community, and probably, the new frontliners of this genre. Jack & James have produced various tracks for Revealed (both main and community label) and Castion signed some numbers on Spinnin Records. Their new project, “Jafar” has been released on Mixmash Bold. Let’s see what they have in store for us.

The ethnic intruments can be easily distinguished from the initial part, accompanied by a mellow female vocal. It is obvious that the creators took inspirations from foreign cultures. Having high-presence of Indian and eastern music vibes in the melody, they made it suitably enjoyable and ear-candy. The energetic Future Bounce drop works with ensemble of the elements heard before, a well-structured build up looking to explode and waste all your energy. It is impossible not to dance on this drop! On the other hand, it can present itself tad repetitive because of the similarities, nevertheless both parts have appreciable variations. There is certain monotonous tone to the beat, which many wouldn’t prefer firsthand.

“Jafar” is an upstart for Castion and Jack & James this year, and it is akin to a trip to exotic places, with an euphoric reward of explosive drop. Concluding, this instrumental is brimming with its fair share of main-stage tone, an enjoyable release!
