Hysteria’s fans can be proud of this splendid release on Spinnin’ Premium. Why?
“For Real” is one of the freshest “poppish” future house tunes we have heard in recent times. The producers, Zookëper and Goshfather, are two veterans of Bingo Players’ label Hysteria, and today they are here to smash every doubt we have about “funky” future house.
“For Real” doesn’t fail at anything. Except for the cover maybe, that plastic doll is a bit creepy in our opinion, but nevermind. The elegant and classy break is calm yet catchy and well produced. The piano lead may sound a bit predictable, but it works proficiently. In addition, we consider the drop which delivers a solid chunk of stamina to the production. Another great thing about this song is the delectable vocal, which adds the necessary dosage of soulful pop-like vibes.
The breakdown introduces this alluring vocal, alongside the bright typical dance piano. Swirling around the vocal, the backdrop instantly entices the ears. Gradually the drop makes its way, introducing the kinetic and deep sonorous bassline. At the same time, it is lead by lovely vocal snippets. Another element used in the drop is the chiming house pluck synth, which enhances its charming factor. While the breakdown may present a calm and laidback scene, the drop turns this track into a club-friendly work.
In surmise, “For Real” swings between the domains of commercial house and pop, without compensating on creativity. Definitely one of the freshest releases of the month!
