White Spirit definitively convinced me with his newest creation on the Dutch imprint Exposed Recordings, “What Can You Do“! We have in front of us presence of an exciting and unexpected Electro House composition, which takes its time to unfold before escalating into an explosive drop.

I’ve found some Skytters vibes in this release (the drop slightly reminds me of “Miracles“), as they tend to use a similar “dirty-aggressive” structure, provided they have released already on Exposed… But let’s be candid, the Moroccan producer has developed his own signature and ever-growing distinct personality with his expanding discography. In fact White Spirit has worked splendidly on the breakdown, creating the requisite and tantalising mystical atmosphere, however in the right amounts before getting stale.

You will be delighted after the commencement part in particular, however strangely enough assuring that it is perhaps going to be a Progressive House song. The vibrant and emotional bassline, accompanied by a sweet vocal, set up a different layout for me… Expectations that were surprisingly squashed by surprise, nevertheless I felt entertained by the strong and intense Electro House drop.

To end this article, we will say that an artist needs the valor and inquisitiveness for experimenting with these kinds of hybrids, alternating two different moods without retorting to textbook standards out there. White Spirit managed to deliver an efficient and engrossing result. That’s a well-deserved release.
