Scottish star Calvin Harris is a renowned name in the EDM scene, thus there has always been much hype about his moves… Especially after his worldwide successes “Giant”, “Summer”, and the legendary “I Need Your Love”. While fans were waiting for a hypothetical Funk Wav Bounces vol. 2, but in the latest months, Harris has been rather quiet, both musically and on social media.
As announced in a couple of tweets, the producer is going to “take completely new vibes” with his brand new project, Love Regenerator. Taken by surprise, the only hint we have is the official cover, a hybrid between minimal oldschool and futurism (especially in the font). Two releases are going to be published this Friday, “Hypnagogic” and “CP-1”.

Fans’ hypotheses are suggesting a project oriented towards Trance or Classic House, but we can’t really be sure about what’s going on Calvin Harris’ mind. After the successful publication of his pop-oriented album in 2017 with an astonishing collection of collaborators and a Billboard debut at the second position (!), a more underground approach may be unexpected, but an extremely interesting update.
Like Guetta is showing with Jack Back, these side projects can be an amazing way to reinvent an artist’s personality, and, at the same time, explore new, underrated sides of the EDM world, showing them to the masses. Trance, House, Minimal, Garage, Deep… We have no serious clue about Calvin Harris double debut, but we are sure that we will get impressed once again!
