Teamworx, Mr.Sid & George Z – Louder

August 20, 20192 min read

• Percussion loaded beat
• Offbeat and pulsating drop
• More groove-focused than melodic

No week is absolutely complete without refreshing new music catalogue each Friday. It is the most anticipated time out of the remaining six days, with various release teasers making the wait even more anxious. Today we would be divulging about the latest work from the uprising Israelite duo Teamworx with included joint-effort of talented Dutch native Mr Sid and Milan based George Z. Titled as “Louder”, the requisite intensity is diligently met in this groovy production.

If our readers have kept an eager eye on the reputed Netherlands imprint of Protocol Recordings, the name of the aforementioned artists will definitely ring a sonorous bell in the ears. Teamworx, who recently collaborated with the label-head and luminary Nicky Romero for the second time (known as “Deep Dark Jungle”), have proved valuable inclusion in the roster of the esteemed record label. The latter of this team-up, Mr Sid and George Z, have already worked together previously. Their tune “Slide”, revealed in Groove Bassment last year.

Talking further about the instrumental, the foremost noticeable thing is the offbeat and hulking bass-y signature vibe in the drop segment, due credit to Teamworx. However, if one is expecting a heavy similarity with “Deep Dark Jungle”, there comes the differences for the discerning ears. This section further plays synth-stabs, aided along with the shuffling percussion loaded beat. Following afterwards is the breakdown where the vocal snippet gets highlighted once again. Without any specific cadence or a melodic atmosphere, a rhetorical pluck and distorted synth become a companion for the leading vox. As expected, the riser arrives to smoothly ascend the ongoing tonality for one final and a climactic round of drop.

To speak in a few words, “Louder” does not boast surprising schematics, yet delivering a vitalizing tool for the upcoming gigs and festival shows.
