Arcando, A Wonderfully Diverse And Unpredictable Force

June 23, 20186 min read

Since the beginning of EDM Reviewer, we have recognized Arcando’s unique productions. One of our first reviews was about his track “Choaz” and he’s repeatedly surprised us ever since. Marc Bandecchi, 20 years old, has releases on Revealed Recordings, Enhanced Recordings and Trap Nation. He has worked with huge names like Reggio, Maestro Harrell, LoaX and SaberZ. Lately, he has been experimenting with future bass and chill trap which we have found refreshing and full of passion with clear callbacks to his “more energetic” past.

Arcando’s wide variety of styles is an important aspect of his career as well as his desire not be boxed into just one genre. Apart from being a great artist, Marc is also a very approachable and friendly person and today he’s here with us to answer some questions about his style, music, and future projects!

Arcando

1. What can you tell us about your upcoming EP?

All I can really say about it is that it will be something very fresh mix between Trap and Pop!

2. Why are you choosing to release these tracks in an EP format rather than individually?

Well, I’ve never released an EP before and since I’m working on loads of new songs and projects I was thinking that releasing multiple songs would be the best way for people to experience the diverse tracks I’ve made in a shorter period of time.

3. You’ve collaborated with many huge names but the one that intrigues us the most is Maestro Harrell, simply M A E S T R O now. What was it like working with the actor turned producer on “Boa”?

I think working with Maestro Harrell was a huge step in my musical career. Because of him, I had the opportunity to get a release on Armada Trice. Our collaboration caused a lot of other artists to reach out because they loved the track we made together. Maestro is a really open-minded person but he knew exactly what he wanted to do with our record. Another thing I really like about him is the fact that he has released Big Room, Pop and Hip Hop Music which are totally different genres but he’s had a lot of success with all of them.

4. Tell us about some of your most magical moments while performing on stage.

It may sound a bit cheesy, but it’s such an incredible feeling when you play your own creations in your set and see all of the people enjoying themselves and dancing to your music. For me, that’s the most magical moment while performing on stage. This summer and upcoming ADE, I’ll be performing at several stages, so be sure to keep an eye on my socials for updates!

5. You’ve created many tracks from many styles out on many labels. How do you decide what you’re going to work on next?

Usually, I get inspired by songs I hear when I’m scrolling through pages on Soundcloud, YouTube, and Spotify. Once I hear something interesting, I’ll save it and try to get ideas from the certain structure of the song and see how it goes from there. Once I get the basic idea for my drop or break, I give it some rest for an hour or so, and if I still like it after that, I know the idea is good enough to continue working on. Another way to get inspired is by collaborating with other people because you’ll get more ideas and positive feedback from other producers.

6. What has been your proudest moment so far?

My proudest moments to date are of course the Trap Nation release of my remix for The Chainsmokers and my single “No More”. Also, one of the biggest YouTubers in the world, DudePerfect, recently used my single “Walking On Fire” in one of their YouTube videos and has gotten over 17 million views in less than three weeks! The key for me is to always keep your head up and stay positive because eventually, it will all turn out well.
