June 22, 20192 min read

• Pulsating & Energetic
• Off-beat and glitchy rhythms
• Creative sound design

Creativity is a strong aspect in production of any genre of music, as we have seen. Many up and coming musicians are now gaining both reputation and highlight with their distinctive and unexpected sounds. Today, we will be talking about the synergy of two uprising talents, Porth Nole and Kaylo. Titled as “Black Hole”, this track has pulled our attention with its unusual yet alluring schematics. Released in the newly formed “Graydient Collective” (We highly recommend checking out their début compilation “Colors”), the amalgamation of Electro and Glitch House delivers quite vibrantly!

Before we proceed to discuss about this song, a brief talk about the creators would do better. Going by the title, we first have Porth Nole. The Slovenian DJ/Producer has his own take on crafting melodic tunes. His previous single “Don’t Want Usticks to bounce-y patterns, while refraining from the usual and generic Future Bounce schematics, providing a refreshing experience with riff-ing melodies. While this individual has an impressive discography, the Swedish talent Kaylo has ear-candy music to offer. His preceding work “Silhouettes” emanates summer vibes, with charming vocal presence and a zesty drop segment.

Returning to our point of discussion, the instrumental initiates with a grandiose piano inaugurating the atmosphere. Slowly progressing, a synth ricochets and introduces heavy Arp-synths. Upping the tension, the drop kicks in suddenly with glitch-ing and vigorous stabbing synths. Following an off-beat and pulsating pattern, the track hovers on this significant yet powerful components. Further elements add variations to the ongoing beat, without compensations. The overall gritty and dynamic rhythm in this song makes it strike out from the rest!

To sum up, “Black Hole” is a splendid experimentation from both the young artists, and we absolutely recommend our readers not to skip/miss this one!
